Are we our thoughts?
I made this poster at a time when I kept noticing how much we live in our heads, and how easily we get lost in thinking. Are we our thoughts? Or are thoughts just things that appear and disappear again? And who is left behind all of them? Is the head really the centre of a person, or can't you say that at all?
Bertolt Brecht's lines from The Threepenny Opera only came to the poster later: "Die im Dunkeln sieht man nicht." Those in the dark are not seen.
